Data Engineer

Equifax is seeking a Data Engineer to join their D&A team. The role focuses on designing and building data pipelines, creating datasets, and generating automations within Google Cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively collaborate with the team to analyze functional project needs.
• Document requirements through analysis of existing documentation, requirements sessions, data flow process maps, and business task analysis.
• Document and define testing strategies and critically evaluate obtained information.
• Leverage experience to define requirements and manage systems using necessary methodologies.
• Maintain and evolve existing processes by identifying performance enhancements and cost-saving opportunities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a science-related university major: Technology, Engineering, Mathematics.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Google Cloud Platform tools.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a related role, including building/maintaining data pipelines, problem-solving, data transformation, and ingestion.
• Experience designing and implementing complex data models.
• Proven ability to enable optimizations to improve performance.
• Intermediate English level.
• Teamwork capabilities.

Desired Requirements:

• Cloud certification is a plus.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of Jira, Aha!, and Git.
• Motivated individual with the ability to present complex technical solutions to all levels (executive, managerial, clients, or third parties).
• Good organization, time management, prioritization, and planning skills.
• Ability to quickly learn and solve new problems versatilely and firmly.
