Role Overview: Data Scientist Real Time Observability

This role supports Epic-quality live service games by developing data tools, dashboards, and workbooks that enhance product health monitoring and inform stakeholders across global Epic Development and Publishing efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Expand the real-time Observability Framework by creating monitoring dashboards and alert systems.
  • Educate stakeholders with real-time data and clear sources of truth.
  • Coordinate across teams globally to support a high-quality live service product.
  • Utilize existing tools for rapid ad-hoc querying and visualization.
  • Continuously improve and evolve data dashboards and tools.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proficiency with Grafana, DataDog, Kibana, or Amazon CloudWatch.
  • Experience with JPath, PromQL, SQL, or relevant scripting languages.
  • Background in analytics, project management, or production support.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to break down complex issues.
  • Excellent communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Flexible availability, including on-call responsibilities and strong time management.
