About Senior Data Analyst

EPAM Systems, a global leader in digital platform engineering and development services, partners with First Derivative to deliver advanced financial services solutions. This role is focused on driving data-driven decision-making through analytical expertise and cutting-edge tools in a rapidly evolving financial landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Log in early to extract data, run bots, or refresh Power BI reports per Toronto office hours.
  • Extract data using Spotfire reports from the Clarity PPM system and export to Excel.
  • Transform data using advanced Excel formulas, Power Query, pivot tables, macros, or Office Scripts.
  • Load transformed datasets into CSV files and upload to SharePoint folders.
  • Operate and modify UiPath StudioX bots for workflow automation.
  • Create and enhance Power BI desktop reports using advanced DAX, manage workspaces, and publish reports.
  • Integrate Power Apps into Power BI reports to collect user comments and set up workflows via Power Automate.
  • Develop SQL queries and connect Power BI to SQL Server databases for advanced reporting.
  • Design and modify SharePoint pages including user permission management.
  • Support ad hoc data analysis tasks and reporting needs organization-wide.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Data Analysis or a related field.
  • Experience with Power BI, including advanced DAX expressions and workspace management.
  • Background in Power Apps and Power Automate workflow integration.
  • Knowledge of the Clarity PPM system for data extraction and analysis.
  • Proficiency in UiPath StudioX for automating workflows.
  • Expertise in advanced Excel, including formulas, Power Query, and pivot tables.
  • Competency in SQL for report development and database linking.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint for page design and user permission management.

Nice to Have

  • Scripting experience with Office Scripts for advanced Excel automation.
  • Experience integrating external tools like Power Automate with databases.
