Position Summary

The Design Team Lead will oversee the design and implementation of advanced AV systems in various environments. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong leadership, and a passion for innovative AV solutions that enhance communication and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design and engineering of AV systems for conference rooms and spaces.
• Develop detailed schematics, signal flow diagrams, and equipment layouts.
• Ensure design compliance with client requirements, industry standards, and budgets.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and stakeholders.
• Oversee installation teams and ensure strict quality control.
• Manage timelines, deliverables, and project documentation.
• Specify and configure AV equipment including displays, projectors, and control systems.
• Lead team calls and maintain updated project records.
• Contribute to comprehensive AV RFP responses and technical documentation.
• Conduct system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
• Participate in client meetings to gather requirements and present designs.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years in AV system design and engineering.
• CTS-D or CTS-I certification preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools.
• Experience with AV control systems (Crestron, AMX, Extron) and DSPs (Biamp, QSC).
• Strong knowledge of IP networking and AV-over-IP technologies.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
