Position Summary & Objective
The Regional Sales Manager - Central is responsible for selling equipment and services in the stamping, forging, steel, paper, or aluminum industries within southern Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee. This role focuses on prospecting and converting competitive accounts into strategic clients, and managing relationships with clients in metal, steel, aluminum forming, stamping, pressing, and forging sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain current clients and prospect for new ones in stamping, forging, and metal forming equipment manufacture and repair.
- Develop sales forecasts, territory plans, and key account growth strategies.
- Act as a liaison between customers and operations.
- Prospect through cold calling, trade shows, and referrals.
- Monitor and report sales activities in the company CRM.
- Collaborate with internal support for a seamless customer experience.
- Work remotely within the designated geographic region.
Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business with at least 10 years sales experience in the stamping and forging industries. Strong relationship-building skills with engineering, director, VP, and C-level stakeholders are required. Must be mechanically inclined, adept at problem-solving, possess excellent communication skills, and utilize ERP/CRM and LinkedIn effectively. The role demands frequent travel up to 75%.
