The Manager, Cloud and Infrastructure is accountable for the support, delivery, and continuous evolution of ENMAX’s cloud platforms and on-premises data centers. This role ensures secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure services that enable business-critical operations. By providing strategic leadership and operational oversight, the position drives modernization initiatives, optimizes performance, and aligns infrastructure capabilities with organizational goals and emerging technologies.
Major Responsibilities
- Cloud Platform Management: Oversee the delivery, support, and evolution of ENMAX’s cloud environments to ensure scalability, agility, security, and cost efficiency.
- Data Center Operations: Manage on-premises infrastructure, ensuring high availability, resilience, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Infrastructure Strategy: Develop and execute strategies for hybrid cloud and on-prem integration to meet current and future business needs.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor infrastructure performance, implement improvements, and leverage automation for operational efficiency.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure infrastructure adheres to all applicable cybersecurity standards and policies.
- Vendor and Contract Management: Manage relationships with cloud service providers and hardware vendors to maintain service quality and cost control.
- Budget and Resource Planning: Prepare and manage budgets, optimize resource allocation, and control operational costs.
- Innovation and Modernization: Drive adoption of emerging technologies and best practices to enhance infrastructure capabilities.
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Maintain robust recovery plans and ensure readiness for critical incidents.
- Team Leadership and Development: Build and mentor a high-performing team focused on delivering reliable and innovative infrastructure services
Education Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, System Analysis or a related field.
Qualifications
- 10–15 years of IT and business/industry experience, including operations, systems lifecycle management, and project delivery
- Experience working with multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments
- Demonstrated success delivering projects that support critical business processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Experience working with Workday in a functional or technical capacity
- Experience with a range of data management and integration tools, along with common integration patterns
- Strong presentation and project management skills
- Experience designing and implementing governance frameworks
- Ability to contribute to vision and strategy development and drive execution
- Proven analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
