About the Mechanical Design Engineer Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead kick-off and project requirement meetings
  • Conduct advanced design, development, and testing of mechanical equipment and systems
  • Install, commission, and operate mechanical systems (travel required)
  • Create mechanical designs and drawings with GD&T
  • Manage troubleshooting, testing, and debugging processes
  • Oversee prototype building and coordinate technical solutions
  • Provide technical guidance and manage projects independently
  • Assist with project quoting, specifications, and schedule creations

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of combined education and work experience; at least 4 years in mechanical design for customized automation systems
  • Proficiency in Outlook/Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver's license with ability to travel to customer sites
  • Preferred experience in industrial machine design, automation design focusing on sensing, safety, and pneumatics
  • Experience with SolidWorks and/or DraftSite
