This strategic entity optimizes the production assets of the Group and its clients, and designs tailor-made energy solutions for 200,000 business clients and 15 million consumers.

The GBU S&EM enhances ENGIE's assets to offer secure and sustainable energy to B2B and B2C clients. With its energy management expertise, it ensures 24/7 decarbonized electricity supply.

Joining Supply & Energy Management means becoming part of a team of over 10,000 passionate experts across 20 countries, united by a common mission: to build a greener and more efficient energy future. Together, we push the boundaries of innovation to deliver continuous decarbonized energy. Join us and help shape the energy of tomorrow!

Context

You will join the Risk Analytics team (9 people), responsible for monitoring and advising on market and counterparty risks for ENGIE's Global Business Unit S&EM (International Supply & Energy Management) and its regulated entity EGM (ENGIE Global Markets).

We collaborate closely with trading, risk, and IT teams to ensure the efficiency, scalability, and business relevance of our systems. Our expertise covers the development, improvement, and validation of risk management models, systems, and processes.

We foster a culture of initiative, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement. You will be supported by experienced colleagues and encouraged to bring new ideas.

We are looking for a motivated intern to join our Market Risk team and contribute to the deployment of Machine Learning and AI solutions to optimize our processes and increase the automation of our production tasks. This internship offers hands-on experience in data analysis, anomaly detection, web visualization, machine learning, and practical AI techniques.

Your Mission

The team performs daily quality control of parameters by comparing internal financial instrument curves with external reference curves. The objective is to transition from a predominantly manual process to an almost fully automated control framework, using Machine Learning and AI to:

  • Detect and prioritize anomalies in curve construction.
  • Systematically compare shapes and levels.
  • Automatically generate actionable comments for Front Office.

In parallel, you will contribute to extending the use of AI/ML to automate parts of daily risk controls and reporting, including the processes for producing, monitoring, and explaining key indicators (VaR, stress tests, Greeks, etc.).

What We Are Looking For

Hard Skills
  • Strong Python programming skills, with experience in libraries such as Pandas and Dash.
  • Very good understanding of machine learning algorithms and AI techniques.
Soft Skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Education and Experience
  • Final-year engineering student, specializing in computer science or data science.
  • Experience in time series analysis, particularly in anomaly detection.
  • Knowledge of financial markets and market data structures is a plus.
Languages
  • Technical English

Why Join Us?

If you meet these criteria, then you are the talent we are looking for. Don't wait – apply now with your CV, regardless of your gender.

At ENGIE S&EM, we are committed to fostering a neutral and inclusive environment where everyone's potential can flourish.

All our positions are open to people with disabilities. If you require reasonable accommodations during the recruitment process, please inform your recruiter – we will be happy to support you.
