Head of Project Procurement

About the Role

Join the team of bold professionals at Enersense International Oyj in Helsinki, Finland. Enersense Supply Operations and Procurement is transitioning from a decentralized to a centralized procurement model. This is an opportunity to build new structures, develop capabilities, and implement practices that shape how procurement creates value.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Project Procurement team and Operational Purchasing team.
• Ensure alignment of category strategies with project needs.
• Assign Project Procurement Managers strategically across key projects.
• Drive early procurement involvement in bids and proposals.
• Collaborate with project management, engineering, and category teams.
• Develop standardized processes, tools, and best practices.
• Promote data-driven decision-making and risk management.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Coach and mentor teams for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• University degree in supply chain management, engineering, business, or related field.
• Strong experience in project procurement or project supply management.
• Proven leadership in procurement teams for at least 3-5 years.
• Deep understanding of project lifecycles and commercial management.
• Excellent stakeholder management, analytical, and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Fluency in English; Finnish is an asset.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
