Project Manager, IT PMO

Position Summary
The Project Manager, IT PMO will report to the Senior Project Manager or Programme Manager in the HUB. This role is responsible for managing and controlling all aspects of assigned projects in accordance with a defined framework and tool set. You will collaborate with your HUB Portfolio Manager, business leads, and various stakeholders, ultimately accountable to the HUB IT PMO Director.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Work directly with customers to ensure deliverables fall within scope, budget, and timeline.
- Ensure resource availability and allocation.
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
- Ensure the coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget, and within scope.
- Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs.
- Coordinate internal resources, 3rd party suppliers, and delivery partners as required.
- Ensure risks and issues are addressed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Adhere to governance as defined within the PMO process.
- Produce project status management reports.
- Ensure project documentation is produced and maintained.
- Interface with the wider global IT Organisation and global IT PMO as necessary, e.g., for Design.
- Work within the company's financial processes.
- Engage with stakeholders as required.
- Working outside normal working hours where a project delivery requires it.
- Always adhering to WSP Health and Safety standards.
Contract Conditions
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, based in Lyon 7.
Skills and Qualifications
A relevant program or project management qualification is preferred (such as PRINCE Practitioner or PMP). Additional desirable certifications include:
- PFQ, PMQ
- ITIL v3 Foundation as a minimum, with preference for certifications in: Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation, Continual Service Improvement
- Practical knowledge of key methodologies and frameworks, including Lean, Six Sigma, and Agile (PMI-ACP desirable)
You should also bring:
- Proven experience in project management.
- Strong experience and understanding of governance frameworks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with peers and leaders.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and confidently.
- A proactive, self-starting attitude, combined with strong teamwork abilities.
- High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks.
- The ability to solve and unblock complex problems.
- Experience in developing and tracking budgets.
- MS Project experience.
- Proficiency with Office 365.
Finally, you will be expected to act as a professional ambassador for the IT PMO organisation.
