Enercom Energy Solutions is seeking a smart, driven intern who understands AI, automation, and how businesses can leverage technology for improved operations. This is a hands-on role where you will actively contribute to real business projects, identify inefficiencies, and implement practical automation solutions. You will gain exposure to projects that enhance business operations across various departments, including operations, administration, reporting, sales support, and internal systems. Enercom operates within the Australian energy sector, focusing on procurement, solar, and energy management for commercial clients. As we expand, we are looking for someone to help us modernize and streamline our processes using AI tools, automation platforms, and intelligent process design. What you’ll be doing

You will collaborate closely with the business to pinpoint areas where AI and automation can optimize internal processes and reduce manual efforts. This may involve:

• Automating repetitive administrative tasks and internal workflows.
• Enhancing data flow between systems and documents.
• Assisting with proposal generation, reporting, onboarding, and process automation.
• Utilizing AI tools to boost speed and efficiency across the company.
• Reviewing existing workflows and proposing more efficient methods.
• Testing and implementing practical automation ideas.
• Supporting internal initiatives to improve organization, visibility, and scalability.

Who we’re looking for

We are seeking university students or recent graduates with a strong interest in AI, automation, business systems, and problem-solving. Prior experience in the energy industry is not required. What’s more important is your commercial awareness, technical aptitude, and enthusiasm for finding smarter ways to work. You will be a strong candidate if you:

• Possess a genuine interest in AI and business automation.
• Are comfortable using tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Notion, or similar platforms.
• Demonstrate logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Are proactive and capable of independently pursuing ideas.
• Are interested in understanding the inner workings of businesses.
• Desire hands-on experience with impactful projects.

Bonus if you have experience with:

• Developing automations or workflows for business, personal, or academic projects.
• Working with APIs or integrating software tools.
• Utilizing no-code or low-code platforms.
• Process mapping or improving internal systems.
• CRM platforms, data handling, or dashboard creation.

Role details

• Position: Part-Time Intern / Contractor
• Location: Flexible / Remote in Australia
• Hours: Flexible, to be agreed upon
• Pay: A$30 to A$38 per hour, based on experience and capability.
