About the Role

Encova Insurance is seeking an Inside Property Adjuster to investigate, evaluate, estimate, and process property claims primarily by phone or other internal communication channels. This home-based role reports to a Manager, Property Claims and focuses on personal and commercial losses including structure, contents, ALE, scheduled property and business income losses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle personal and commercial claims including contents and coverage questions.
  • Assign and review work of independent adjusters and preferred contractors.
  • Assist resolution specialists with contents valuation and depreciation holdback.
  • Investigate, verify coverages, determine liability, and negotiate settlements.
  • Manage catastrophe claims with occasional travel/overnight stays.
  • Obtain and maintain necessary adjusters licensing and pass required exams.
  • Maintain clear communication with internal teams and external parties.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

This position requires at least 5 years' experience in property claims handling, preferably within Encova Insurance or a similar industry setting. A college degree or equivalent in insurance or business is required. Candidates must demonstrate strong communication, negotiation, and people skills alongside a thorough understanding of claims settlement techniques and relevant legal decisions.
