Position Overview
The Event Sales Manager Hotel Services is responsible for guiding customers through engaging event experiences, identifying solutions that meet their goals and capturing maximum revenue from assigned customer bases. This role also focuses on cultivating strong relationships with key hotel personnel while supporting company initiatives and core values. Reporting to a Senior Sales Manager, Sales Director, or Director, Event Technology, the role bridges the gap between customer needs and service delivery.
Key Job Responsibilities
Revenue Generation: Drive results through proactive, consultative sales. Prepare and present timely quotes and proposals via various platforms. Collaborate with vendors and multiple departments to capture event opportunities. Attend site visits and pre-conference meetings to support event experiences. Understand event cost structure and design profitable solutions.
Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers and venue personnel. Research customer histories to offer personalized experiences. Attend meetings and respond to customer needs while keeping CRM data updated. Leverage the Encore network to secure additional opportunities.
Sales Accountability: Maintain a healthy sales pipeline to meet revenue targets. Ensure CRM opportunities are accurate and updated. Support sales forecasting efforts and adopt new sales processes and initiatives. Stay informed about new product/service offerings and emerging event technologies.
Job Qualifications
BS/BA or equivalent experience; 1+ year technology sales or hospitality experience preferred; audiovisual sales experience is a plus; familiarity with hospitality industry and sales processes; strong technical proficiency; excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements
This role requires meeting certain physical demands including sitting, standing, walking and occasional lifting and carrying up to specific weight limits. Work is performed in a hotel or convention center environment, which may involve irregular hours, weekends, and on-call status. Team members are expected to adhere to appearance guidelines and safely use audio visual and electrical equipment.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Pay Range is between $64,350 and $70,000. Compensation is determined based on qualifications, location, work experience, and expertise.
