Purchasing Automation Specialist

Overview

The Purchasing Automation Specialist at Encon Heating & AC will start by handling traditional purchasing tasks and gradually shift to optimizing procurement using AI-driven automation tools. This role requires a candidate with a growth mindset, hands-on approach, and commitment to process improvements.

Job Responsibilities

Quoting & Automation:

• Generate and track accurate client quotes.
• Utilize AI to analyze vendor quotes for optimal pricing.
• Ensure all quotes are timely, error-free, and concise.

Purchasing & Vendor Management:

• Process purchase orders and monitor open P.O. reports.
• Communicate with technicians for part approvals.
• Assist warehouse team and optimize scheduled jobs.
• Build and evaluate vendor relationships.
• Monitor competitors and market trends.

Future Responsibilities – AI & Process Optimization:

• Support development of AI solutions to enhance efficiency.
• Use predictive analytics to forecast purchasing needs.
• Automate workflows for scheduling and work orders.
• Refine procurement processes through ongoing automation.

Customer Service & Communication:

• Provide timely updates to coordinators and managers.
• Assist in resolving client issues with AI-driven insights.
• Conduct daily check-ins with dispatchers and client managers.
• Engage with vendors to address recurring issues.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, purchasing experience with automation tools, strong vendor management, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and hands-on approach.
