Role Overview
The Helpdesk Specialist provides day-to-day IT support across Empire Management Group, Inc., ensuring reliable hardware, network performance, and efficient onboarding processes for new hires.
Primary Responsibilities
- Technical Support: Provide first and second-level support, troubleshoot computers, software, mobile devices and peripherals, and document resolutions.
- Hardware & Inventory Management: Maintain IT hardware records, audit inventory, and coordinate repairs or upgrades.
- Network Support: Monitor network performance, assist in troubleshooting connectivity issues and document changes.
- New Hire Onboarding: Configure hardware/software for new employees, set up accounts, and provide initial technical training.
- Web & Software Assistance: Support basic website maintenance and assist users with Vantaca and other software tools.
Key Tools & Systems Used
Vantaca, Microsoft 365 Suite (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive), network management tools (Meraki or equivalent), and internal asset management systems.
Requirements & Expectations
Maintain professionalism, ensure accuracy in documentation, comply with security policies, and support continuous improvement in IT processes.
Quarterly Projects & Goals
Assist in quarterly IT projects designed to support the IT department and overall organizational growth.
