About the Role

This position is for an experienced, self-sufficient Senior Back-End Engineer to join the Centaur Pod. You'll have significant freedom to architect solutions while contributing to a critical healthcare cloud platform. Key responsibilities include:

• Feature development: Design, build, and maintain new platform features in collaboration with product and engineering teams.
• Codebase ownership: Deliver clean, reliable code through bug fixes, testing, and peer reviews.
• System architecture: Architect and refine scalable backend solutions.
• Cross-functional projects: Contribute to side projects that increase product versatility and client value.
• Collaboration: Communicate clearly and effectively with our international team.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of hard and soft skills:

Hard Skills:

• 5+ years of Back-End development experience, with strong proficiency in Python.
• Experience building RESTful APIs, with a preference for FastAPI / Pydantic.
• Hands-on expertise with deploying applications to AWS.
• Experience setting up integrations with third-party APIs and services, handling rate limiting, error handling, and data transformation.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools for production systems.
• Experience with infrastructure management, specifically Terraform.
• Familiarity with Airflow.
• Bonus: Experience integrating Machine Learning / AI models into back-end systems.
• Bonus: Knowledge of the Insurance industry.
