About the Role
This role is for a SaaS Quality Assurance Manager - Automation & Cypress at FreightPOP. You will lead a quality transformation by scaling automation with AI to ensure flawless product delivery and impact.
Job Purpose Summary
As the FreightPOP Quality Manager, you are a key member of the R&D Leadership Team. Your proven track record will enable you to drive quality transformation through strategy, structure, discipline, execution, measurement, simplification, building, acceleration, and scaling. You will lead a team of QA Analysts and SDETs.
Essential Job Functions and Requirements
- Own and execute overall quality and automation strategy.
- Deploy AI-assisted test case and test script development.
- Drive adherence to QA standard operating procedures and quality metrics.
- Document and execute acceptance tests and manage test libraries.
- Manage and develop a team of QA Analysts and SDETs in Agile/SCRUM environments.
- Lead Cypress automation at scale and reduce manual testing dependency.
Immediate Quality First Focus
- Enforce release gates and quality standards to reduce defect leakage.
- Accelerate automation strategy for PR, nightly, and release gates.
- Enhance QA team capabilities and improve team collaboration with Engineering and Product teams.
Job Qualifications
A Technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required. Candidates must have 8+ years of software Quality Assurance experience in SaaS environments with significant automation exposure and 4+ years of QA management/leadership experience.
