Responsibilities and More

Minimum Required Experience

• Over 8 years of experience in infrastructure architecture, with a strong specialization in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Demonstrable experience leading cloud migration and transformation projects in enterprise environments.
• Advanced experience in designing cloud-native architectures and modernizing workloads, prioritizing PaaS services over traditional IaaS models.
• Experience implementing DevOps practices, CI/CD, and automation.

Functions

• Design scalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures in GCP, prioritizing managed services and cloud-native approaches.
• Lead “move-to-cloud” migration initiatives with a focus on modernization and transformation, actively avoiding pure lift-and-shift strategies.
• Evaluate existing on-premise infrastructures and define migration strategies towards PaaS services in GCP.
• Design and implement Terraform modules and Infrastructure as Code standards for deployments in GCP.
• Define cloud adoption frameworks and best practices specifically for GCP.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks (e.g., Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Provide technical advisory to clients and internal teams on architectural decision-making.
• Analyze application portfolios and define cloud transformation roadmaps.
• Evaluate and propose the replacement of IaaS implementations with PaaS alternatives within the GCP ecosystem.
• Ensure compliance in terms of security, networking, IAM (Identity and Access Management), and regulatory standards in GCP environments.

Required Skills

• Advanced experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proficiency in GCP services: Compute Engine, Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, and Cloud Load Balancing.
• Solid experience with Terraform for provisioning and managing infrastructure in GCP.
• Experience in CI/CD, GitOps, and automation (Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Deep knowledge of cloud-native patterns: serverless (Cloud Functions, Cloud Run), containers (GKE), managed databases, and event-driven architectures (Pub/Sub, Eventarc).
• Ability to define cloud migration and transformation strategies.
• Solid knowledge of networking, security, and regulatory compliance in GCP.
• Fluent level of Spanish and English.

Desirable Skills

• Experience in multi-cloud architectures (AWS and/or Azure).
• Official GCP Certifications (Associate, Professional Cloud Architect, or others).
• Experience in enterprise environments with multiple simultaneous projects.
• Ability to engage directly with clients and non-technical stakeholders.
• High capacity for technical leadership and strategic orientation.
