The Senior Software Engineer - Python is a fully participating member of an agile feature team, working independently on software development and problem resolution. The role involves technical design, software development, implementation, and maintenance of software solutions/products that support the Emirates Group Business.

In This Role, You Will

• Work with senior technical engineers in the technical design process by contributing to analyzing technical application requirements.
• Convert technical solutions for small to medium-sized initiatives into low-level design and working code.
• Independently write secure and optimized code by implementing Emirates Group-approved coding standards.
• Participate in rotational on-call support and actively participate in resolving production issues within SLAs with minimal or no active supervision.
• Be responsible for built-in quality and ensuring 100% unit testing as part of the CI/CD pipeline.
• Analyze and fix all identified defects with minimal rework.
• Ensure refactoring practices are adequately adopted to ensure minimum code debt.
• Ensure logging and monitoring hooks are implemented in the code development.
• Continuously stay current with the relevant technologies and implement the learnings to enhance code quality.
• Adhere to the Emirates Group IT coding standards, guidelines, and best practices, and contribute to Software Engineering Playbooks and other Standards documents.

Qualification

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Computational Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering with 3 + years of Experience in Information Technology.
• Certification in Full Stack Developer/UI Experts.
• Software Engineering experience, preferably in agile ways of working.

• Frameworks/Libraries/Language: PyTest, SonarQube, PEP8, Solace, Gunicorn, NGINX, SciKit-Learn, TensorFlow, Anaconda, Conda Environments, JWT Token, Pandas, Numpy, AppDynamics, matplotlib, Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio 2022, GraphQL, restQL, Django, REST Framework.
• Big Data & Messaging: Apache Beam, Apache Spark, Apache Flink, Apache Airflow, Ray, MLOps, ELK/Splunk, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Test Frameworks, ShiftLeft, SonarQube, Tibco, Solace, Kafka.
• Principles: TDD, BDD, CI/CD, DevOps, GitOps, FinOps, SRE, Code Review, Event Driven Micro-Services development, Configuration Management, Functional programming, Reactive programming, Solution design, hybrid cloud architecture, Serverless, distributed, multi-region, self-healing systems.
• Databases: Couchbase, MariaDB, Oracle, RDS, DynamoDB, Neo4J, Postgres, Redis, Ignite, Hyperledger.
• Cloud vendor: AWS.
