Safety Instrumented Systems Senior Project Engineer

Job Description

As the Safety Instrumented Systems Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for executing projects in the Oil & Gas, Chemical, Metals & Mining or Pharmaceutical industries, delivering Safety Instrumented Systems such as Emergency Shutdown (ESD), Fire and Gas (FGS), or Burner Management Systems (BMS) in with DeltaV SIS. In this role, you will undertake SIS concept and detailed design tasks for software and hardware, software implementation, internal, and factory acceptance tests. You will support the Project SIS & DCS teams in the delivery of project-related engineering deliverables and be responsible for the assigned scope.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Efficiently leading engineering tasks for DeltaV SIS software and hardware design, testing, and commissioning.
• Providing comprehensive support and information to Lead Engineers and Project Managers regarding resource needs, progress, and risks.
• Ensuring all engineering activities adhere to company quality control processes and relevant industry standards, prioritizing health, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Actively acquiring, maintaining, and sharing technical knowledge across the engineering team and wider organization.
• Taking on combined roles for smaller projects where a dedicated Lead or Senior Engineer is not required, demonstrating versatility.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in automation project execution for different industry segments (Oil & Gas, Chemical, Metals & Mining, Pharma etc.) with Safety Instrumented Systems, at least 5 years.
• Computer literate (MS Office) with software programming skills.
• Proficient in English.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• A second European language knowledge is a nice to have but not mandatory.
