RVO Support Engineer at Emerson
The RVO2 program at Emerson is a global initiative utilizing virtualization technology to manage project engineering systems across multiple centers. As an RVO Support Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the Worldwide Centralized Engineering Infrastructure within your local RVO2 center and providing remote support to other centers. This role encompasses both Tier 1 activities, handling basic customer issues, and Tier 2 activities, addressing medium complexity issues such as systems deployment, resolving support requests, and assisting senior personnel. All activities are performed in adherence to existing documented processes and standards under Emerson's ISO 27001 certification.

Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Actively participate in daily operations by providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 support with limited assistance.
- Contribute to the creation of troubleshooting tasks, ranging from low to moderate complexity.
- Participate in the implementation of solutions with varied complexity, ensuring adherence to documented standards.
- Observe and participate in interactions and troubleshooting sessions with internal and external customers.
- Key activities include:
- Deployment and decommissioning of systems in a virtual environment.
- Resolution of support requests within a virtual environment, including support for Emerson applications and products such as DeltaV, Syncade, Mimic, and Project Data Link.
- Configuration of product templates.
- Execution of backups and restores.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or an equivalent level of experience in a related field.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in:
- VMware vSphere and vCenter.
- MS Windows Server OS.
- Deployment of virtual machines in large virtual environments.
- Networking (certifications are desirable).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of VMware Operations Manager.
- Familiarity with Dell blade and rack systems.
- Experience with Datacenter Operations.
- Understanding of ISO 27001 Information Security Management System.
- Experience using MS SharePoint and MS Teams.
- Familiarity with Emerson Automation Solutions products, processes, and standards.
