Job Summary

If you are looking for an opportunity to build your leadership experience and drive the development of new technologies, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you. This role provides leadership, direction, and oversight of global drawing initiatives and support for World Area Projects.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of CAD Customization Engineers and Drafters.
  • Drive strategic improvement projects and implement design standards and best practices.
  • Oversee automation of customer drawings including development, testing, and production release.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders.
  • Manage external contract vendors and provide technical guidance.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze team performance metrics.
  • Support recruitment, technical skill development, and resource planning.
  • Administer CAD applications and maintain internal tools using PowerApps, Power Automate & Power BI.
  • Participate in internal ERGs and knowledge sharing sessions.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Candidates should be effective communicators with excellent interpersonal skills and have a fundamental knowledge of engineering drawings, CAD applications (SolidWorks, Solid Edge or equivalent), schematics, and PLM applications. Familiarity with Power Platform tools is a plus.

Education / Experience

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent with 12+ years of CAD engineering experience, including at least 6 years in a leadership role managing large teams. Experience in leading global teams and deploying global tools/programs is preferred.
