If you are looking for an opportunity in Technology Solutions and Development, Emerson has this exciting role for you!

In this role, the person selected will be responsible for supporting the realization of Emerson’s Data and Digitalization Strategy. As a Data Architect with Snowflake experience, you are expected to provide data & integration architecture direction, collaborate with technical stakeholders and provide support to IT projects.

This team delivers technology solutions for strategic business needs, drives adoption of these services and support processes and boosts value by enhancing our customers’ experience. This role works alongside a hardworking and dedicated team of self-motivated professionals who share a collective passion for progress and excellence.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Architect and design end-to-end Snowflake data solutions, aligning technical architecture with business objectives and enterprise standards.
  • Define and implement best practices for Snowflake architecture, including data modeling, security, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
  • Design and oversee data integration pipelines using modern ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Snowpipe, Airflow, Informatica, Talend, or cloud-native services).
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate data requirements into scalable and maintainable Snowflake-based solutions.
  • Integrate data from diverse sources—on-premises systems, cloud platforms, APIs, and third-party data providers—into the Snowflake environment.
  • Implement and maintain data governance, lineage, and metadata management across the Snowflake ecosystem.
  • Monitor and optimize query performance, storage, and compute resources, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of data models, data flows, and architectural decisions.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and Snowflake capabilities, continuously improving architecture and delivery practices.

Who You Are:

You show a tremendous amount of initiative in tough situations. You are exceptional at spotting and seizing opportunities. You observe situational and group dynamics and select the best-fit approach. You make implementation plans that allocate resources precisely. You pursue everything with energy, drive, and the need to finish.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Overall 12+ years of experience with a minimum of 3 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or data warehousing, with hands-on expertise in Snowflake.
  • Proven experience designing and deploying large-scale data platforms in cloud or hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Strong proficiency in SQL (Snowflake SQL, T-SQL, or PL/SQL) and programming/scripting languages such as Python or Spark.
  • Deep understanding of Snowflake features, including virtual warehouses, streams, tasks, data sharing, and security configurations.
  • Strong data modeling skills (dimensional, normalized, denormalized, etc.) and familiarity with modern data architecture patterns such as Data Mesh, and Medallion.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT design, data orchestration, and workflow automation tools.
  • Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to produce clear, concise, and well-structured technical documentation.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Science with a technical background (MIS, Computer Science, Engineering or any related field).
  • Good interpersonal skills using English, both spoken and written, as will be working with overseas team.
