Job Summary
The Emerson T&M Global Sales & Marketing Analytics team is seeking a Data Analytics Analyst to serve as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders. This role is crucial for delivering actionable insights that drive company growth, supporting Global Sales & Marketing (GSM) teams by leveraging tools, technology, and processes to provide data-driven solutions, high-quality dashboards, and ad-hoc insights for decision-making. The Data Analytics Analyst will collaborate with IT, Finance, Data Office, and Business Units, playing a critical role in developing foundational datasets and ensuring robust data infrastructure. The successful candidate must effectively communicate findings to both business and technical audiences.
Your Responsibilities Will Be
- Build effective partnerships with key business stakeholders across Global Sales & Marketing, Regional EMEA Leadership, Global/Regional Operations, and IT.
- Partner with business leaders and subject matter experts to evaluate, identify, and implement actionable business performance measures, aligning regional to global objectives.
- Leverage modern tools and cloud infrastructure to develop scalable datasets that meet business/operational reporting and analysis needs.
- Develop optimized insight solutions, designing, developing, and testing to ensure all data, reporting, and analytics solutions are accurate.
- Create and maintain dashboards to measure and monitor business performance.
- Perform data engineering tasks on an enterprise data platform environment.
- Write complex queries that profile, clean, extract, transform, and merge a variety of data.
- Effectively prepare, document, and communicate insights.
- Proactively propose creative ideas to apply analytics to business problems, acting as a thought leader.

For This Role, You Will Need
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, MIS, Business, or other relevant fields.
- 2+ years of experience in analytics, reporting, and data transformation.
- High proficiency in business intelligence & visualization tools like Salesforce Analytics (including CRM Analytics), PowerBI, Tableau. Power BI expertise is a plus.
- Strong SQL skills and demonstrated knowledge of relational databases.
- Understanding of and experience using analytical concepts and statistical techniques: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations.
- Experience using analytics techniques to contribute to company growth efforts, increasing revenue and other key business outcomes.
- Experience with database and programming tools like Snowflake, DBT, Qubole (Hive/Spark/Presto), Python, R, is a plus.
- Ability to establish time estimates, prioritization, and requirements for projects owned.
