Overview
The Cloud Data Engineer at Emerson supports MSOL Global Business Intelligence programs using Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Azure services. The role emphasizes technical design, data integration, modeling, and the development of reports and dashboards.
Responsibilities
You will design, build, and maintain data pipelines and architectures to ensure reliable data flow across systems. You will develop database models and cloud-native data solutions in Azure and Microsoft Fabric. Collaboration with DBAs, developers, data scientists, and engineers is key to delivering scalable data solutions. You will create and maintain visual reports, dashboards, and critical metric scorecards using Power BI and SQL Reporting Services. You will translate business requirements into robust data reports and applications, ensuring data integrity and accuracy, while also providing analysis support and acting as a liaison between multi-functional teams.
Technical Focus
This role requires working with Azure DevOps, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Power BI to build scalable data models for strategic insights and self-service Business Intelligence across Emerson. In addition, you will leverage technologies including Python, Scala, and Azure Repos (Git) to setup sophisticated ETL processes and maintain overall system performance and quality.
