Overview

At Emerson, we are seeking a diligent and passionate Quality Inspector 2 dedicated to ensuring the high standard and reliability of our products through hands-on inspections, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Perform inspection and testing on receiving parts
• Conduct in-process inspection audits in the manufacturing area
• Generate nonconformance reports for parts that fail inspection
• Collaborate with Assembly Operators and Manufacturing Engineers on process controls
• Prepare, control, and maintain manufacturing and inspection documentation
• Prepare customer document packages
• Support investigations of claims and conduct root cause analysis
• Assist the Quality Manager with employee training
• Calibrate production and inspection gauges, and maintain calibration records
• Perform non-destructive testing on castings and welded fabrications
• Maintain a 5S work environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

To succeed in this role you will need:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with engineering drawings, specifications, and BOMs
• Familiarity with 5S methodology and calibrated measuring devices
• Working knowledge of QMS per ISO 9001-2015

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand up to eight hours per day, work in seated or standing positions.
