Supplier Quality Engineer Role at Emerson

This position provides supplier quality leadership, technical expertise, and project management for performance improvement initiatives supporting North America and Europe NMI projects. The role involves pre-technical and technical reviews, FAI review with engineering and plant quality teams, and communication with suppliers once approved.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct pre-technical and technical reviews.
• Review FAI with engineering and plant quality teams.
• Evaluate quality requirements during the initial supplier RFQ stage.
• Track FAI and 1st production lots ensuring process capability.
• Participate in supplier qualification and perform process audits.
• Resolve supplier issues and manage risks, nonconformance and CARs.
• Support new product development teams and supplier development projects.
• Monitor monthly quality performance scorecards for critical suppliers.
• Provide product training and drive manufacturing/quality improvements.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Bachelor/Diploma in Engineering.
• 5-10 years experience in casting, machining, or equivalent.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and planning skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

Preferred Requirements:

• Expertise in casting techniques, machining, metallurgy and welding.
• ISO auditor and Six Sigma knowledge with quality control techniques.
• Knowledge of GD&T, drawing interpretation and CMM operations.
• Strong internal and supplier relationship management.
• Proficient in MS Office suite with strong presentation skills.
