QA Tester

QA Tester at ELYON International

As a QA Tester at ELYON International, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. This role involves a blend of manual and automated testing, defect management, and close collaboration with development teams. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and a passion for delivering high-quality user experiences.

Scope Of Work

• Design, develop, and execute manual test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver.
• Identify, document, and track defects using defect management tools.
• Perform regression testing to verify defect fixes and ensure no new issues are introduced.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Assist in setting up and maintaining test environments as needed.
• Provide clear and concise test reports and status updates.

Core Competencies

• Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) & Testing Life Cycle (STLC): Strong understanding of Agile development methodology and testing phases.
• Selenium WebDriver: Strong hands-on experience in developing automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver.
• Test Case Design & Execution: Ability to write detailed, clear, and comprehensive test cases; execute test cases effectively.
• Automation Testing Concepts: Basic understanding of automation testing concepts and tools (e.g., Selenium). Ability to write testing scripts using Selenium.
• Defect Tracking & Reporting: Proficiency in defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or equivalent; ability to document defects with clear reproduction steps, severity, and priority.
• Attention to Detail: Keen observational skills to identify inconsistencies and defects.
• Basic Database Knowledge: Ability to write and execute simple SQL queries to validate backend data.
• Basic Web Technology Understanding: Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript basics, and browser developer tools.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
• Analytical & Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze requirements and design appropriate test scenarios.
• Test Environment Setup: Experience or ability to coordinate test environment setup and configuration.
• Test Management Tools Experience.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of performance and security testing fundamentals.
• Experience in mobile application testing.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• S100D specification knowledge.
• Azure DevOps familiarity.
• Selenium Experience with WebDriver for browser automation.
• CI/CD & DevOps.
