Overview

As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will design, develop, test, deploy, and enhance technology platforms using public cloud technologies. You will work on cloud-native infrastructure and automation, improving developer experience through the implementation of Infrastructure as Code and DevOps principles.
What You’ll Do
- Work hands-on with cloud-native infrastructure and automation.
- Improve developer experience and software delivery processes.
- Ensure platforms and infrastructure tools are compliant, secure, and efficient.
- Develop, configure, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools.
- Collaborate with business areas and System Engineers on technical solutions.
How You’ll Succeed
- Independently apply technology, techniques, and tools for business results.
- Stay current with advancements in platform engineering.
- Leverage expertise in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) to drive innovation.
- Collaborate effectively across global teams.

Requirements
- Currently pursuing a master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Security, or a similar field with an expected graduation by August 2026.
- Completion of the 2025 Lilly technology summer internship.
- Hands-on experience with at least one public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and a solid understanding of core public cloud services.
Desired Experience
- Familiarity with platform practices such as patching, monitoring, and log analysis.
- Experience with automation tools, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
- Programming knowledge in Python, JS, Go, and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
