Eli Lilly and Company is seeking a Post Doctoral Scientist: Computational Modeling to advance research in drug delivery through innovative computational techniques. This role is pivotal in developing and validating computer simulation-based approaches to various drug delivery modalities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and validate computational models addressing various drug delivery modalities.
  • Leverage expertise in continuum mechanics, FEA/CFD, and simulation for modeling injections, diffusion, and absorption.
  • Work within cross-functional teams and drive independent research projects.
  • Communicate findings effectively and present at meetings or conferences.
  • Contribute innovative ideas to enhance drug delivery systems and improve patient outcomes.

Basic Qualifications

PhD in Mechanical Engineering or similar disciplines with expertise in continuum mechanics, thermodynamics, and simulation methods (FEA/CFD) is required. Strong proficiency with computational tools like ANSYS, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, MATLAB, or similar is essential.

Additional Skills & Preferences

  • Experience in multiphysics modeling and simulation.
  • Scripting proficiency (e.g., Python) for task automation.
  • Understanding of medical devices and project management.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and scientific writing skills.
