Job Summary

As the Lead AI Engineer at e.l.f. Beauty, you will design, develop, and deploy advanced AI solutions across our enterprise. You will lead the development of production-grade AI and machine learning models, manage the entire model lifecycle, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust AI/ML models (recommendation engines, NLP, computer vision, forecasting).
• Manage model lifecycle from prototyping to deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with product, data engineering, MLOps and business teams.
• Perform feature engineering, data wrangling, and exploratory analysis.
• Build and maintain scalable AI infrastructure using cloud services and MLOps best practices.
• Mentor junior AI/ML engineers.
• Continuously improve models with new research and retraining techniques.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, ML or related field.
• 14+ years of IT experience; minimum of 6+ years in AI/ML engineering.
• Experience with LLM-based applications and prompt-driven architectures.
• Solid understanding of RAG patterns, vector databases, and containerized services in AWS ECS.
• Familiarity with AWS Bedrock, AWS RDS, and CI/CD pipelines using Terraform or AWS CDK.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with React front-end environments.
