About The Design Engineer Role
ElevenLabs highly values its website, which attracts millions of views monthly and serves as a crucial showcase for our brand, products, research, and team. As a Design Engineer, you will transform our website into a truly world-class platform, ideating and implementing key pages such as the homepage and demo pages. You will also lead the development of microsites designed to go viral, like our recent hackathon website. This role requires strong website and design opinions, coupled with effective collaboration with the Growth team to optimize for SEO and conversion. Design proficiency is a significant advantage.
You will work closely with Nev Flynn, Dul Zorigo, and Luke Harries.
- Ideate and implement beautiful, intuitive website pages aligned with the ElevenLabs brand, effectively telling our product and company story.
- Develop interactive demos that enhance usability and engagement, aiming for viral quality.
- Collaborate with Design, Engineering, and Growth teams to ensure cohesive end-to-end web experiences.
- Execute and iterate on designs based on user feedback and best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest design trends, technologies, and tools to maintain a best-in-class website.
Requirements
- Strong frontend engineering skills with an eye for design, proficient in Next.js, React, and likely design libraries like Framer Motion or D3.
- Proficiency in design or the ability to work closely and effectively with designers.
- A robust portfolio showcasing web projects and the ability to craft compelling web experiences for marketing websites. Creative thinking about ElevenLabs’ web and brand presence is essential.
- Bonus: strong copywriting skills and a working knowledge of SEO.
Location
This role is remote and can be executed globally. Offices are available in Bangalore, Dublin, London, New York, San Francisco, Tokyo, and Warsaw if you prefer.
