Vocational Professor
Engagement: Hourly contract (independent contractor)Rate: USD 49-98/hour
Job Summary
We are seeking a Career & Technical Education (CTE) Teacher for postsecondary education to join our customer’s team as an AI Trainer. In this remote role, you will teach vocational courses below the baccalaureate level while integrating AI concepts into curriculum design. Your work will help adult learners develop technical skills and industry knowledge, preparing them for in-demand careers.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lectures and hands-on training using instructional technology, multimedia, and visual aids.
- Monitor, assess, and document students’ progress through performance-based evaluations, written assignments, and oral feedback.
- Provide individualized instruction, remedial support, and constructive feedback to foster learner competence and confidence.
- Supervise safe and effective use of tools, equipment, and technology in remote learning environments.
- Integrate AI trends, concepts, and best practices into curriculum and instructional activities.
- Encourage collaborative problem-solving, class discussions, and applied learning exercises.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and industry partners to ensure course content aligns with current workforce needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Career & Technical Education or a related technical field.
- Experience teaching vocational or occupational courses at the postsecondary or adult education level.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Hands-on familiarity with technical tools, equipment, and instructional technology in fields such as construction, manufacturing, transportation, or cosmetology.
- Ability to incorporate AI concepts and digital resources into teaching practice.
- Excellent organizational, classroom management, and assessment skills in virtual learning settings.
- Capability to provide individualized instruction tailored to diverse learner needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree or professional certification in a technical discipline or education.
- Experience developing or delivering AI-focused curriculum.
- Background in mentoring or coaching adult learners in vocational or technical programs.
