Join Elevate Recruitment's client as a Lao Interpreter, a remote, hourly contract role where you will leverage your advanced proficiency in both Lao and English. This position focuses on providing high-quality transcription, linguistic analysis, and cultural insights to support various language projects, AI training initiatives, and multimedia content evaluation.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and nuanced understanding across both languages, contributing to the development and refinement of AI language models and content.

Key Responsibilities

• Transcribe audio and video content accurately from Lao to English and vice versa, including precise time-stamping.
• Analyze emotional tone, speaker intent, and cultural context within various communications.
• Evaluate grammar, syntax, and linguistic structures in both Lao and English to ensure accuracy.
• Clearly explain nuanced terminology and complex conceptual content for specific project or AI applications.
• Perform advanced linguistic tasks, including in-depth context interpretation and comprehensive tone analysis.
• Contribute actively to AI training datasets, language annotation tasks, or other language-focused projects as required.
• Deliver high-quality, consistent results while consistently meeting project timelines (minimum 15 hours per week commitment).

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Demonstrated fluency in both written and spoken Lao and English, with exceptional clarity and precision.
• Proven experience in transcription, language analysis, or interpretation specifically for Lao and English content.
• Strong ability to detect, accurately describe, and interpret emotional nuance, tone, and underlying intent in spoken language.
• Meticulous attention to detail, particularly concerning grammar, linguistic structure, and contextual meaning.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, essential for successful remote and independent work.
• Comfortable maintaining consistent output and clear communication within a virtual work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• A degree or relevant background in linguistics, translation, communications, or a closely related academic field.
• Previous experience with complex language projects or in-depth multimedia content analysis.
