Job Summary

As a Biomedical Engineer at Elevate Recruitment, you will be a key contributor to AI-driven medical innovation. This remote contract role involves applying your expertise in biomedical engineering, medical devices, and biobehavioral science to train advanced AI systems, evaluate equipment performance, and collaborate with diverse interdisciplinary teams. Your critical insights will directly influence the development of safe, effective, and cutting-edge healthcare technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate biomedical equipment for safety, efficiency, and performance, ensuring strict compliance with industry standards.
• Design and develop medical diagnostic tools, clinical instrumentation, and innovative procedures by applying engineering and biobehavioral science principles.
• Collaborate closely with life scientists, chemists, and medical researchers to advance biomedical engineering applications in both human and animal contexts.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports, detailed data summaries, scientific manuscripts, crucial regulatory submissions, and essential patent documentation.
• Provide specialized subject-matter expertise to effectively train and significantly enhance AI models within biomedical engineering and related domains.
• Interpret complex biomedical datasets to inform crucial AI improvements and develop impactful healthcare solutions.
• Communicate findings clearly and concisely in both written and verbal formats to technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a closely related scientific field.
• Proven experience in the rigorous evaluation of biomedical equipment for its safety, efficiency, and overall effectiveness.
• Demonstrated expertise in either designing or developing advanced medical diagnostic and clinical instruments.
• Strong technical writing capabilities for producing high-quality reports, scientific publications, and regulatory documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, consistently showing high attention to detail in all interactions.
• Extensive experience collaborating effectively within interdisciplinary scientific and engineering teams.
• A foundational understanding of AI principles or a strong, demonstrable interest in AI-based medical technology applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience training AI systems or developing curated datasets specifically for machine learning in biomedical contexts.
• A PhD or an advanced degree in a highly relevant biomedical field.
• Previous significant contributions to regulatory submissions, successful patents, or groundbreaking medical device innovation.
