Security Risk Intel Analyst at Elevance Health
This hybrid role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office. The Security Risk Intel Analyst is responsible for monitoring and assessing global political, social, economic, and security developments to identify emerging risks to Elevance Health associates, assets, and operations.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Integrates geopolitical intelligence and protective intelligence functions, providing both strategic foresight and tactical early warning.
- Monitor global political, social, and physical threat landscapes; assess impact on associates, assets, and operations, producing actionable intelligence to inform executive decision-making, travel security, site security, crisis management, and business continuity planning.
- Data mines and compiles analytics from various social media platforms.
- Develops actionable insights and recommendations from gathered open-source information to support decision-making and provides early warning of physical and operational risks to the company and its leaders.
- Support executive protection operations by identifying potential risks to key personnel and recommending mitigation measures.
- Develop and deliver written and verbal briefings on geopolitical, regulatory, and global health issues affecting enterprise risk and workforce safety.
- Produce analytical reports, scenario analyses, and risk forecasts that translate complex global trends into actionable insights for senior leaders.
- Integrate geopolitical data with cyber, supply chain, and regulatory intelligence to evaluate cross-domain risks.
- Utilize geospatial and temporal data analytics (ArcGIS, ACLED, Tableau, etc.) to visualize global threat patterns and emerging hotspots.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners, including Operations, Executive Protection, Cybersecurity, Business Continuity, Legal, HR, and Corporate Communications to ensure unified awareness and coordinated risk mitigation across the enterprise.
- Support crisis response and incident management with analytical insights and intelligence summaries.
Minimum Requirements
Requires a BA/BS in intelligence, international studies, journalism or related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience in geopolitical, protective, or security intelligence analysis within corporate, government, or law enforcement environments; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities & Experience
- Master's degree preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in open-source intelligence (OSINT) collection, analysis, and social media exploitation (SOCMINT).
- Proficiency in intelligence and data visualization platforms (e.g., Domo, Ontic, Tableau, ArcGIS, Power BI, Maltego, or i2 Analyst's Notebook).
- Familiarity with structured analytic methodologies (SWOT, PMESII, STEEP) and threat frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, behavioral threat assessment models).
- Understanding of global governance structures, privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA), and data-protection principles governing intelligence operations.
- Certifications such as CTIA (Certified Threat Intelligence Analyst), CPP (ASIS), PSP, GISCP, or behavioral threat assessment credentials (ATAP, WAVR-21).
- Experience supporting corporate security, executive protection, or business continuity programs in a multinational organization.
- Background in healthcare industry risk, regulatory compliance, or global health security.
- Familiarity with AI/ML applications in predictive threat modeling and risk forecasting.
- Foreign-language proficiency (Spanish, Hindi, or Tagalog) for analysis of non-English sources preferred.
For candidates working in person or virtually in Washington D.C., Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, the salary range for this specific position is $69,048 - $113,436.
