Overview
Element Materials Technology is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our rapidly expanding operations team. In this role, you will perform a variety of routine and non-routine machining assignments under direct supervision, ensuring timely and accurate test results.
Responsibilities
- Designs, sets-up, and performs diverse machining tasks per customer specifications.
- Works with minimal supervision from department leaders.
- Mentors and trains less experienced machinists.
- Transfers technical machining knowledge to meet customer expectations.
- Maintains equipment and executes preventive maintenance schedules.
- Gathers and records dimensions to meet quality assurance requirements.
Skills / Qualifications
- HS diploma or GED preferred with additional vocational/college coursework considered.
- Associate degree or 3-6 years of machining shop experience.
- In-depth knowledge of machining concepts, measuring instruments, and safety protocols.
- Strong computer skills, basic algebra, and geometry understanding.
Physical Demands
Moderate physical force is required with frequent lifting of less than 50 lbs. and occasional lifting over 50 lbs. Candidates must be able to stand for long periods.
