About the Role
Electronic Arts is seeking a Software Engineer for Development Release Engineering. In this role, you will join EA's global build automation specialists (DRE) supporting The Sims franchise. You will design and implement automated workflows, monitor existing solutions, and ensure system stability while identifying gaps and scaling solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement new automated workflows.
- Monitor solutions and promptly debug issues.
- Communicate with internal teams to manage requirements.
- Identify gaps and implement scalable, repeatable solutions.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in object-oriented/scripting languages (Python, Groovy, C#, Java, or Ruby).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Familiarity with source control (Perforce, Git) and configuration management tools.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of secrets management, artifact repositories, virtualization, and data observability tools.
- Agile mindset and strong collaboration skills.
Compensation & Benefits
The role offers a competitive salary with a range in British Columbia from $83,000 to $116,400 CAD along with benefits including vacation, sick time, parental leave, extended health, dental, vision coverage, insurance, retirement plans, and more.
