Job Description: Consumer Insights Associate Researcher
At EA, we strive to inspire the world to play. On the Consumer Insights team, we are seeking a Consumer Insights Associate Researcher who will provide strategic, data-driven insights that guide development and marketing for all EA franchises.
The Consumer Insights team is constantly focused on understanding our players – their motivations for playing games and how their behaviors evolve alongside the ever-changing gaming market. This role within CI will support consumer research for our studios, brands, and the games they create. You'll partner closely with our studios, brand and marketing teams, as well as fellow researchers and analysts in North America and Europe. We are looking for a researcher who is curious and can provide critical insights that have a real impact on our games, live services, and communications. You will manage research studies, analyze data, and develop deliverables that influence important marketing and development decisions.
This role offers a hybrid work model and can be based in either our Redwood City or Los Angeles offices.

Who You'll Work With
- Our Research Center of Excellence team: A close-knit group of 10 Consumer Insights researchers and analysts focused on delivering research for all of EA’s franchises.
- Our Consumer Insights team: A larger team of 20+ insights professionals dedicated to improving our games throughout development, marketing, and live service.
- Other members across Analytics and Research: Collaborating to develop a cross-functional ‘voice of the player’ by leveraging expertise from data science, telemetry analytics, user experience, and social listening.
- EA’s studios and brand leadership: Partnering closely with decision-makers and thought-leaders across development, marketing, publishing, and brand to inform strategies from greenlight to launch and throughout live services.
A Typical Week Might Include
- Analyzing data and building a compelling story that guides product and marketing decision-making.
- Managing several research studies simultaneously, communicating effectively with vendors, research partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Writing questionnaires and discussion guides designed to answer key business objectives.
- Supporting large custom research studies in partnership with other Consumer Insights team members.
- Presenting insightful research reports to internal partners that influence decision-making.
- Exploring new research tools to create efficiencies or provide deeper insights.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- 1-3 years of relevant job experience in a market research agency or company specializing in consumer research.
- Experience in data processing and statistical analysis, including developing crosstabs, weighting, and appending data.
- Proficiency using a market research survey platform such as Qualtrics or Forsta.
- Proven experience summarizing complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Familiarity with both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
- Organized, adept at learning, and comfortable working with various tools and systems.
- A genuine interest in learning more about video games.
