Job Description: Technical Manager at Elbit Systems Israel

Elbit Systems' Land and C4I Division is seeking a dedicated Technical Manager for their Laser Detection Systems. This critical role involves leading complex technological projects, managing various interfaces, and designing advanced systems within a dynamic environment.

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site presence at both the Haifa and Yokneam facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive customer requirements, define solution architecture, and guide system engineers in product requirement definition.
• Develop detailed development plans, estimate activity costs, and provide ongoing management of the development lifecycle.
• Provide robust support to multi-disciplinary teams, resolving technical challenges across diverse areas.
• Implement algorithms and operational applications effectively on various hardware platforms.
• Perform mechanical design for moving systems, conduct strength analyses, and select appropriate materials.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with a significant advantage for Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in team management or technical management roles.
• Proven experience in technical documentation, including writing production files and Technical Specifications (SOW).
• Expertise in defining and executing system tests, including Proof of Design (POD).
• Strong knowledge in troubleshooting across electronics, electromechanics, and materials engineering domains.
• Ability to meticulously analyze customer requirements and translate them into precise engineering specifications.
• Familiarity and understanding of software testing methodologies.
• Demonstrated capability to collaborate effectively with subcontractors, as well as development and production teams.
• Excellent technical leadership and multi-interface management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in serial production of military products.
• Knowledge of environmental condition tests and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) tests.
• Familiarity with cabling systems.
