What Is The Role
Elastic seeks an exceptional Technical Principal Product Manager to lead teams pioneering the next-generation of query languages and vector database capabilities for Elasticsearch. You will lead cross-team initiatives to define and deliver breakthrough technical features and platform capabilities across a diverse, global team.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic vision and execution for new query languages and vector database functionalities.
- Drive complex, cross-functional initiatives with engineering, platform, and research teams.
- Champion the evolution of Elastic's search architecture with scalable vector indexing and advanced query processing.
- Write detailed product artifacts such as PRDs and PRFAQs to ensure developer usability.
- Conduct market analysis and competitive assessments to inform the technical roadmap.
- Engage with developers and community for feedback and drive feature adoption.
- Take P&L ownership with accountability for growth and pricing evaluations.
What You Bring
- Proven leadership in launching complex technical products in search, databases, query languages, or AI/ML.
- Expertise in vector databases, search pipelines, similarity algorithms, and distributed systems.
- Exceptional communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts.
- Curiosity and deep understanding of search technology and developer challenges.
- Experience with distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and technical coding languages (Python, Java, Go).
Compensation & Benefits
This is a base salary position with eligibility for Elastic's stock program, plus a company-matched 401k and comprehensive benefits including health coverage, flexible scheduling, generous vacation, volunteer hours, and parental leave.
