About the Opportunity

As a Principal Business Analyst, Web Applications, you will be a key contributor to healthcare transformation, ensuring the delivery of intuitive, web-based applications for NSW Health stakeholders. You will manage quality assurance, testing, and backlog activities, directly impacting projects like VCM Pro and advancing digital health services.

In this role, you will:

  • Drive and prioritise the product backlog, including creation, refinement, and prioritisation of user stories and defects, in collaboration with stakeholders and the Senior Product Owner.
  • Manage the timely completion of functional, integration, and other testing activities, ensuring alignment with test plan requirements.
  • Track, document, and report test defects and outcomes to maintain high standards of quality assurance across deliverables.
  • Contribute to the VCM Pro project by completing individual tasks, collaborating with team members, and communicating any roadblocks.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Demonstrates excellence in business process modelling (e.g. BPMN), requirements development, and project management.
  • Has experience in preparing test scripts and conducting functional, regression, and integration testing activities.
  • Brings strong experience in Agile methodologies and backlog management.
  • Excels in communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
  • Can manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Preferably has qualification or certification as a product owner and/or Business Analysis Professional (CBAP).
  • Preferably has previous experience in the health industry or a strong understanding of healthcare systems and stakeholder needs.

Additional information

This recruitment may establish a Talent Pool for similar roles over the next 18 months. Applicants must have current Australian work rights. The salary offered is $147,653 to $175,917 + 12% Super + 17.5% annual leave loading, with additional benefits like salary packaging and up to 12 extra days off per year.
