How you will make an impact:

• Establish and lead a high-performing software development team while driving successful delivery of complex projects.
• Plan, direct and develop innovative software products and services that enhance existing and future Edwards products.
• Lead in identifying risk, developing complex mitigation strategies, best practices, alternative solutions, resolving issues in collaboration with cross functional and/or matrix teams while influencing stakeholder strategies.
• Manage subordinate team members and software development activities with overall responsibility of staffing, planning, budgeting, managing expense priorities, performance management, and working through managers to achieve results.
• Serve as an advisory role for software development in identifying new unmet clinical needs and parameters for advancing Edwards Lifesciences in future business needs.
• Set the strategic direction of software development.
• Influence best in practice global use of technology in partnership with stakeholders (e.g., Corporate IT, Cyber Security) with complimentary technologies.

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Software Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience in software development and project management.
• People Leadership experience with track record of leading high‑performing teams, including effectively leading managers.
• Experience in multinational corporates, operating within large, complex organizational structures.
• Ability to coach, mentor, and manage teams, including full employee lifecycle responsibilities.
• Experience as a Product Lead SW and HW – Advantage.
• Experienced in vision processing, ML and LLM - Advantage.
• Demonstrated track record in people management and team leadership.
• Experience with medical device development and compliance standards.
• Experience with cloud-based systems and cybersecurity.
• Strategic partnership with senior leaders across business units and regions.
