Edwards Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Council Bluffs, IA is looking to add an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our team. The role involves diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing customer vehicles with precision and care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on customer vehicles.
• Identify vehicle problems using diagnostic equipment.
• Explain repairs and provide excellent customer service.
• Plan repair procedures using charts, manuals, and experience.
• Test functionality of parts and systems.
• Perform routine auto care tasks such as oil changes and tire rotations.
• Repair and replace brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors, and other parts.
• Maintain a clean and organized repair shop environment.
• Be prepared for additional certification training as needed.

Requirements

• Automotive and engine repair experience or auto mechanic training.
• ASE certifications required.
• Valid driver license.
• Associate degree in auto maintenance and repair preferred.
• Professional appearance and friendly customer service skills.
• Ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data accurately.
• Capability to lift objects up to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a lube technician or willingness for on-the-job training.
• Understanding of automotive air-conditioning systems.
• Experience with diagnostic equipment and heavy/diesel mechanics is a plus.
