Overview
The Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC) is recruiting a Director of Research to lead its research functions. This role supports efforts to attract new businesses and talent to North Carolina, while assisting existing businesses with expansion and global trade initiatives.
About the Role
The Director of Research will head the research team, develop research strategies, and manage data resources. Responsibilities include providing analytical insights on industry, workforce, taxation, and competitive data to support business development, recruitment, expansion, and international trade.
- Lead and mentor a team of research analysts.
- Develop and implement research strategies and tools.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Oversee financial aspects of the research budget.
- Produce regular reports and strategic insights for marketing and communications.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in economics, public policy, marketing or related field required (master’s degree a plus). Minimum 7 years of market research experience, with at least 2-3 years in a management role. Proficiency in advanced data analysis, various databases, mapping software, survey tools, Power BI, CRM platforms, and MS Office is required.
