Reporting to the Private Banking Business Development team, you will report to the Head of Business Development & Sales Support. The Business Development team consists of 6 people, divided between Sourcing (monitoring news, sector analysis, identifying beneficial owners and their contacts) and Phoning. You will work in the Phoning area and play a central role in the Bank's commercial development. You will proactively contact prospective entrepreneurs and business leaders to schedule qualified appointments for Private Banking, and also—depending on the situation—for Investment Banking.- Prospection (cold calling/mailing): Proactive and multi-channel contact with identified leaders. You will schedule meetings with private bankers or relevant teams, potentially attending to ensure relationship continuity and effective context transmission.
- Targeting: The dedicated sourcing team will provide you with qualified targets and contact details (leaders, shareholders, founders, etc.), identified based on precise criteria (capital events, upcoming operations, liquidity signals…). You will supplement this flow with your own ability to identify and select high-potential profiles. You will benefit from powerful tools, adapted for private banking prospecting and specifically designed for business developers. These tools will enable you to operate across an expanded scope.
- Cross-business synergies: Depending on the identified objectives or the prospect's profile, you will direct them to the Group's relevant entities (Investment Banking, Private Equity), demonstrating a strong ability to understand their needs.
- Prospect follow-up until conversion: Continuous interaction with private bankers and prospects to ensure the quality and follow-up of scheduled appointments.
- Activity monitoring: Regular reporting, CRM updates, and rigorous follow-up of both activity-specific and transversal matters.
Profile
- Higher education from a top business school or equivalent university degree with a specialization in finance and/or wealth management.
- Previous experience in business development within a demanding financial environment.
- Strong aptitude for prospecting and securing appointments through persistent effort. You are comfortable with cold calling and motivated by the concrete results of your actions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a knack for building relationships, with the right demeanor and communication style.
- Energy, tenacity, and resilience: You never give up, you know how to bounce back, overcome obstacles, and remain focused on closing deals.
- Very good understanding of corporate finance operations (LBO, MBO, OBO, Management packages, refinancings, etc.), with the ability to identify key moments when the Group's support becomes relevant.
