Job Description at PSA Engineer

Located at Gloucester Business Park, Gloucester with flexibility to work from home (minimum 3 days in the office), EDF UK is seeking a skilled PSA Engineer with expertise in Probabilistic Safety Analysis, safety case development, and complex industrial plant design.

The Opportunity

You will assess the safety of nuclear power plants under construction by modeling hazards such as fire, flood, seismic events, reactor core damage, and environmental consequences. You will evaluate risks to ensure a robust safety case is maintained and compliant with UK operational and regulatory standards, while collaborating with internal teams and safety regulators.

  • Ensuring PSA work meets UK operational and regulatory standards.

Who You Are

You are a collaborative problem-solver with strong analytical skills and experience in nuclear safety cases or probabilistic safety analysis. You possess a solid academic background in science or engineering and have excellent technical writing skills. You are adept at working with complex systems and ensuring safety in a regulated environment.
