Role Overview

The Senior Database Migration Consultant (PostgreSQL) is a customer-focused role supporting our North America region. You will work with global EDB Enterprise customers to deliver migration technical services, including leading Oracle to Postgres migrations, and offering pre-sales consulting support.

Your Impact

• Become an expert in EDB migration tooling, methodology, and technology.
• Lead scoping efforts and provide level of effort estimates.
• Assess customer schemas to determine migration compatibility.
• Execute Oracle database migrations to PostgreSQL and Enterprise Postgres.
• Develop enablement material and coach team members.
• Perform performance tuning and design backup, upgrade, and security strategies.

What You Will Bring

• Consulting experience and strong communication skills.
• Deep knowledge in Oracle database migrations and Postgres environments.
• Experience with SQL and procedural languages (PL/SQL, T-SQL, Pl/PgSQL).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and Linux system administration.
• Ability to travel (up to 50%) when required.

Additional Information

This role is 100% remote and open to candidates located in the United States (East Coast preferred). Approximately 10% travel to customer sites is expected. EDB values diversity and offers extensive benefits including wellness programs.
