Overview
At ECS4Kids, we honor young children’s immense potential by helping them enter school ready to learn. As the Manager of Center Operations, you will oversee planning, daily operations, and evaluation of Head Start centers across the Northern or Southern Savannah River Region.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Supervision: Supervise Center Managers, Site Supervisors/Lead Teachers, and Education Specialists, develop professional development plans, coordinate recruitment, and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Educational Oversight: Ensure curriculum fidelity, adherence to performance standards, analyze child assessment data, and evaluate classroom environments with tools like CLASS and ECERS.
- Coaching & Training: Plan and facilitate training, monitor in-class coaching efforts, and conduct regular site visits.
- Operational Management: Oversee center operations in absence of managers, ensure reporting accuracy, monitor budgets, and address parent/community concerns.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work with the Regional Director and management team to align goals, represent ECS4Kids to external partners, and maintain timely communications.
Qualifications & Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education Administration, or related field is required, with a Master’s preferred. A minimum of 3 years of experience in Head Start or center operations is required. Experience with CLASS, curriculum implementation, and coaching is preferred.
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Knowledge of early childhood best practices and regulatory standards
- Ability to analyze data to inform instruction and operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ChildPlus
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Certifications & Training
Must complete TB screening & physical, possess current First Aid and Pediatric CPR training, and complete various curriculum and certification courses within specified timeframes.

Work Environment
This role involves working in both office and classroom settings with frequent travel across multiple sites and occasional evening or out-of-town commitments.
