Job Description
Environment Management Lead at ECS
ECS is seeking an Environment Management Lead to work remotely. In this role, you will work with business and technical teams ensuring applications are fully available to all stakeholders and USPS customers. You will maintain DEV, SIT, and CAT environments by updating Technical Architecture Diagrams, NCRB's, and System Network details.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate across teams to ensure application availability.
- Update and draft technical documentation and diagrams.
- Analyze data file processing and customer reporting requirements.
- Work with CISO and NIT teams on system patching and testing.
- Track and coordinate system upgrade requirements.
- Act as Critical Incident Manager during production issues.
- Set up and configure Splunk monitors and update configurations.
- Analyze monitoring data for system trends and reliability.
Required Skills:
- Strong SQL knowledge and ability to write complex queries.
- Experience with UNIX commands and shell scripting on Linux.
- Proficient with Oracle, Cloudera, and DataStax SQL queries.
- Experience with Apache Kafka and Confluent for real-time streaming.
- Familiarity with on-premises and cloud-based environments.
- Incident Management experience and leadership in critical incidents.
- Excellent communication and liaison skills with stakeholders.
- Understanding of hardware, software, and operating systems.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Agile, Version One, ServiceNow, and ALM.
- Knowledge of Splunk Enterprise, Neustar, AppDynamics, and cloud monitoring tools.
Restrictions: Must not be a member of the USPS eAccess Corporate Developer Registration (CDR) due to segregation of duties.
